Normal service will resume soon

autismDAD - autism from a dad's perspective

Just a short note to say that the lack of blog posts recently is deliberate. We are currently in our latest battle with KCC over Victoria’s education and I don’t want to jeopardise or prejudice proceedings by writing about our experiences here. There is also such a thing as “too much autism”… there is only so much time you can spend thinking about, documenting and researching autism, autism-related law, education and LA responsibilities. Add in doing the LA’s job for them (does anyone in Kent know how to write an EHCP? If so, your local authority needs you!) and everything else that goes on in life (yes day job, I’m talking to you!) and I’ve not had much time or mental capacity to post here.

Rest assured, normal service will resume as soon as the local authority work out the difference between their arse and their elbow.

In the meantime, if you would like to see what was said at the first Kent SEND sub-committee the videos are available here. The videos are long (it was a 3+ hour meeting) so if you simply want to know why the meeting was met with anger and dismay across social media, head over to the BBC article here.
