Response to our complaint to LA

In response to our complaint logged on 19th April with KCC, we received a response from Sarah Hammond (Coporate Director – Children, Young People and Education). Unfortunately this was a standard response basically saying they are experiencing delays in responding to complaints but they will respond as soon as possible.

The annoying thing is, you cannot take the case any further (eg to the Ombudsman) until both a Stage 1 and Stage 2 complaint has been dealt with by the LA. As we are still at Stage 1 we are a long way off being able to have our complaints reviewed.

It shows what a sorry state of affairs KCC is in when you can’t even complain about your complaint because of the backlog in complaints!
